A time for reflection

All the gals were very busy creating nuno felting at this month’s Creative Fibre Arts Group. I have a plethora of gorgeous photos here and here.
After the excitement of the U18 Grand Final footy game (of son) attended in the morning, I had no energy left to create or felt so I spent the meeting demonstrating and helping others.
On a quieter note, I have spent time contemplating the projects for which I have recently signed up.
I have noticed a link between the Notebook Project (see badge on sidebar), the ‘found, stitched and dyed’ project created by India Flint and the much anticipated coming week with Mary Crehan at the Geelong Fibre Forum.
I will use my notebook to chart my thoughts, inspiration, finds, samples and musings as I work my way through the ‘memory’ project I have planned for the Fibre Forum using momentos of my maternal grandmother, then branching further afield with the more universal ‘memories’ displayed by the ‘boro’ style cloth of the ‘found, stitched, dyed’ (hereafter known as FSD) project.
I found these two extremely repeat laundered, large, textured, linen tablecloths in the local op shop, which I think will make an excellent base for the FSD.
Cheers

Nice to see the variety of your projects and follow the links, I’ve got India Flint’s book, I’ve been fancying doing some natural dyeing for some time.
Thanks for dropping in on my blog, I think I may have sent a reply to the non-reply address when I responded.
